Be Bold With Black

Black, for most designers is a no no, unless you're doing a balanced black and white space. I have recently become obsessed with black and what it can bring to a space. I think an extreme black space is so elegant and classy. Designing homes at the shore, none of my clients would let me do anything close to this. These are some of my favorite black spaces I've found online.

Such a classic look for a powder room.

 

Everything about this space is perfect. The rustic/industrial look set off by a classic candelier is perfect.

 

This space just invites you in to get cozy with the fur blankets & pillows.

 

The texture and balance of black, white, and beige in this space is perfect.

 

Black can be very modern, I love the mix of the Eames chair and white lacquered desk to make it pop

 

Adding a pop of color to black can make it seem less harsh. The classic color most would pick is red. This yellow is a fun twist.

Black and be very modern or very traditional depending on what furnishing you put with it. It is such a good neutral. Don't be scared to go BOLD!
