Cozy Monday

Monday. It comes around so fast. Our weekend was so relaxing. Dan started his new semester of law school today, so we wanted to keep this weekend low key. We went to Brigantessa for dinner Friday nitght, so not on my diet but so worth it. One of our favorite bartenders/friends started working there a couple months back. They have best pizza I have ever had in my life. If you're ever in Philly it's a must. We finally took down our Christmas decorations and straightened up our apartment from the holiday hustle and bustle. It's starting to look like a home again. A new apartment update will be coming soon, we've added so much stuff. It's starting to feel more and more like home.

It's cold, rainy, and dreary here in Philadelphia. So I've compiled all the places I would rather be than at work. I would be napping at them all if I could. Happy Monday!

Winter Workout Essentials

2015. We're 8 days in and I've heard so much of the "New Year, new me." Some people criticize it, personally I think there is something so endearing about people wanting to change for the better. Now, I know most people don't stick with it, but a little is better than nothing, right? Anyways, on the 5th I started a 28 day challenge from the Fit Girl's Guide. I researched a lot and liked the fact that they make it so easy for you. There can be something so intimidating about starting a workout/diet regiment and they took that away instantly. The book was such a fun read. They spell out your meals everyday and even give you a weekly grocery list! How much more easy could they make it?! The workout schedule is doable, nothing too hard or too long. So far I love the energy I have and I'm not craving any burritos or sushi (which are my normal faults)! I'll let you know how it works out for me.

There is nothing that makes me more excited than new workout clothes. I refuse to pay lululemon prices for clothes I'm just going to get sweaty and nasty, I can't justify it on my budget. I just stumbled upon the fact that H&M has an active line! I don't know where I've been, clearly living in my own little Philadelphia bubble. I squealed when I found out. Because I'm super picky about class schedules, my gym is a 30 minute walk from my apartment. So when I'm looking for winter workout pieces I'm hunting for layers and things that will keep me super warm on my walk there and back. Here are some of my favorite winter workout pieces.

Here's to 2015 and a better you!

Winter Essentials

Philadelphia is a winter wonderland today. After last year, I would have been perfectly fine not seeing snow at all, but here we are. These are some of my favorite winter essentials. I broke down and bought good rain boots this year. I'm obsessed with them. They turn perfectly into snow boots with shearling insoles and socks. I do have to be extra careful walking, since they're rubber they catch ice easily. Earmuffs are a must for me. My ears get cold so easily, I can't leave my house without them in the winter. On to my favorite moisturizers. I've been using Baby Lips by Maybelline for year now and love it. They come in great tinted balms but I love using the original then putting my lipstick over it. My hands get dry really fast in the winter too so I always have hand cream on me. I've found this Neutrogena one works best. It's a little thicker than most creams, but it moisturizes so well.

Happy Tuesday!
